At Jazz Festival in Montreal, I discovered the Swedish jazz quintet Yun Kan 5, who performed on June 29th, 2007 at Musee juste pour rire. Founded in 2003, two years later, Yun Kan 5 is heralded as the best jazz group in Sweden. The group is led by saxophonist/clarinetist Fredrik Ljungkvist, who is also one of the key composers in the Swedish/Norwegian quintet Atomic.
