More about me here: my professional Biography
I am originally from Germany, I moved to Montreal in 2005. Often people ask me why I moved here. It was out of love - for the city! I like hanging out in Montreal's ethnical neighborhoods like for instance the Plateau, which is the Portuguese part, or China Town or Little Italy. Also, I find pretty neat that the English and French language are used simultaneously.
Some of the things I do where I live: having dinner at 'Le Roi du Wonton' (2125 St-Marc, Montreal) + getting my bike stolen + used to having daily tea at Van Houtte, highway 520, Montreal for lunch break + doing what I feel like doing + having my special breakfast in the mornings + getting addicted to swimming + getting German books from Goethe Institute + going to the movies + spending three hours a week-day in public transports + meeting new people at Lutopic + hanging out in Shisha bars + bringing my own wine to a restaurant + writing for my site + thinking about new projects + traveling + feeling like a foreigner + going to exhibitions + having fastfood at Julep Orange + seeing squirrels all around + walking at -16 degrees C when it feels like -28 degrees C + talking to and watching my friends and family in Europe + going to SAT + hiking on Mont-Royal + spending a Sunday afternoon in a Café and read + drinking green tea from big tea leaves + searching for interesting individuals for my New Canadians project + buying 'Zatar' bread + saying 'Bonne journée' to the 24/7newspaper distributor + going to La Chilenita and eat empanadas + walking far + seeing the real Canadian winter + going to movie festivals + cooking squash soup + going to a health-food shop + being surprised about seeing huge power supply lines downtown + spending time in parks + exchanging my German language for Spanish + seeing concerts + going for breakfast on Sundays + lining up in a 50 m line with many other people to catch a bus + getting used to Canadia upper-loading washing-machines + discovering new Cafés + ice skating + walking on av. Mont-Royal + taking photos + playing with my laptop and it playing with me + going book shopping online + getting used to 2-layered facial tissues + having 'Madagaskar' chocolate + not wanting to stop being creative + enjoying Montreal's festivals + going camping + restarting doing etchings after a 3 year break
